I upgraded iTunes to 7.1 this morning. When using the dxplayer in DesktopX, the Pause state will start without prompting. Media status will also switch to "Paused" although it continues to play.

I uninstalled and reinstalled DesktopX to no avail. The fix was to reinstall iTunes 7.0.2.16. It hasn't occurred since.

Thanks, Steve. I upgraded last night and had to jump through a lot of hoops with also updating my IPOD and the whole update took the better part of an hour before I could just put in a CD and store it in iTunes. Pain in the ass. Now, I haven' yet run DX today, but will keep an eye out for the glitch. If it happens, thanks to you, I now know to return to the previous version. Life is not always simple...

I've not had any problems since upgrading. I don't run DX though.

I Had a problem where iTunes would just exit while downloading podcasts. That's why I use Windows Media Player It's so much better imho, Although you can't sync an iPod or subscribe to podcasts.
