Concept interesting
looks good on 1280x1024
just little things

1) this is not a DXtheme but an object if you want it as a dxtheme don't export it, go one system tray "save theme as..." .dxpack is for object/ .desktop .dxtheme is for theme

2) the systray is not in popup or toogle it is fix so we can't hide it.

3) for the Weather instead of make a shortcut select object control to control a weather object put in the theme (see those of martin he has made some template)

4) Media Player in place of make a shortcut to itunes add "open files" (media player plugins) to this button.

5) maybe more tooltips (under object properties) to show what make what on action

6) DX helpers you need to fix the place of the label

7) Again really interesting, there aren't too many errors, and it's clean.

Thanks alot for taking the time to critique the theme. I have followed most of your instructions, however, I don't understand the problem with the label on the DX Helper. It looks right on my PC. Suggestions?

Thanks again,
Steve

See in the object properties if it is lock, and children of the base, reduce the size of the text 20 to 16 set it at 15 like horizontal offset. and groupe all the object "helper"
It mean select all objects who compose the "HELPER" right clic-> Group enter a name and that all.

The object appear like that:

After made what i say it will appear like that:

Very nice work The only things I found not working right are the same things Quentin found.

I think Quentin is talking about the text "DX TOOLS" it is rather large and runs off the object.

If you don't want to add a weather object tell them what the button is for in your description or in some other way besides putting the text in the shortcut text line as it produces an error. It may confuse some people..

Maybe add a script to autohide as it tends to hide buttons on some windows. Just a suggestion not a necessity

One thing I found besides what Quentin an Murex found :
The button that Opens/Toggles the SysTray will open...but I can't toggle shut. Once open it stays open.

Maybe some mouse over tool tips for buttons - All the buttons have a small clear rectangular box that pops up when you click button, in addition to the tool menu etc . What it the purpose of the empty box ?

Just minor adjustments

Thanks again. I did that. It seemed to look fine on my computer before. Strange, do you have "Cage" font on your PC?

The Boxes had text on them. I have no idea why they don't show on your PC.

Thank you for your input. Will have an update later today.

If you use a font that isn't normaly found on a computer (you got it off the internet) or is a font that came with a program you installed then you should include it in a zip file along with your Dxtheme file.

Ahh...that be the problem...." Cage " is not a normal font and you need to include the font in the zip file with instructions in your ' details ' to install font first.

Thats why we are seeing the default ( way too large font ) Arial. Always include any fonts you use that are not ' standard' fonts or they will revert to arial and not display correctly.
